When thinking of extracurricular activities for your child, coding isn’t usually the one that comes to mind first. Given that it is usually an area that is chosen by children who show interest in it, it becomes the least of a parent’s worries when considering further studies. However, coding allows a child to independently navigate themself in a world where technology has boomed. Learning it can allow your child the chance to delve into the digital side of the universe and become better prepared for it. It is needed not only for a profession but for standard daily practices and can be a game changer when employers look for qualities in an individual. To begin with, it nurtures creativity. Coding allows you start from something small and end up with some much bigger than anticipated. It allows children to learn basic skills of working hard to create something great. It builds on questioning one’s ability to work further and to put in that creativity to build something unreal.
The most common benefit coding is known to have been problem solving. Coding allows a new perspective to thinking and challenges the child in different ways. Given that it is generally a very difficult task to complete sometimes, it creates the ability to rapidly find a solution, alter and move on, which is an impressive and necessary skill to have once entering the working world.
Learning when actually being hands is one of the easiest ways to pick up a skill which is why coding is great for this. They’ll find that they’re picking up and processing information much quicker too. This creates a better mindset of completing an activity is the best way to understand and fix mistakes which will create an overall more engaged child when it comes to tasks.
