Cotton Traders | bringing colour to our winter walks
AD | gifted – I was so impressed with Cotton Traders when I worked with them on my Christmas gift guide that I jumped at the chance of working with them again. This time they are trying to bring some colour and style to our winter walks and this is a campaign I can more than get behind!!
At this time of year when it can be so bleak and grey, we love to get outside to try and lift our spirits. So, we couldn’t wait to lift them even higher by adding some colour and style into our winter walking wardrobe.
FOR HIM
Recycled Print Microfleece Half Zip Hooded Top
The description on the website for this top says that it is ‘comfortable, cosy and perfect for layering’. I genuinely can’t argue with any of that! The all over print design is very on trend right now and this top feels so incredibly soft to touch. The anti-pill fabric means that not only will it not lose it’s colour but it also means that it should last for years to come.
What’s great about this fabric though is it’s earth conscious, made from recycled materials, including plastic bottles. A hooded fleece that is comfortable, looks great AND makes use of some of our plastic waste? What’s not to love about that?!
Winderemere Waterproof Coat
How great does this coat look? I love the mustard colour which goes so well with the Microfleece Hooded Top. Hubby is a little more nesh than me and feels the cold more. So, the fact that the Windermere Waterproof Coat is wadded and fleece lined is very much appreciated by him. Even the pockets are fleece lined which is very cosy for cold hands. Both the hood and the cape are detachable should you wish is a nice touch.
What I really love about this coat though is the number of inner pockets that it has. One with a touch and close fastening, one with a zip and another with a popper. Plenty to keep your essentials both dry and safe.
FOR HER
Favourite Crew Neck Stripe Cotton Jumper
I love this jumper and if this doesn’t scream colour at you then I don’t know what will. The pure cotton material means that not only is it comfortable, but you can also pretty much guarantee the quality too. I really love that the simple style is bright, beautiful and guaranteed to go with anything.
This jumper fits true to size giving a nice loose-ish fit while the long raglan sleeves provide comfort and the slight stretch rib to the cuffs and neck provides a smart shape that lasts. I really love this jumper as it’s not only bright and beautiful but it’s COMFORTABLE too.
Singing-In-The-Rain Weatherproof Jacket
With a name like Singing-In-The-Rain, how can you not love this jacket? I absolutely love the colour (which come in blue and green options too), and the fit is absolutely brilliant. It is fully waterproof and windproof but also come with breathable taped seams throughout. Which for someone like me who doesn’t really feel the cold, is great. I think the cord detail really adds to the design and the detachable hood means that you can choose how you want to wear it. Not only that though, but I also find that a detachable hood makes coats and jackets so much easier to dry after a wet wellie walk!
The butterfly print soft jersey lining is a lovely touch as is the inner phone pocket which to help keep your phone safe and dry. The length is great – not too short and not too long – and the slanted pockets are actually practical to use. Overall, this is a great jacket which will not only keep you dry on winter adventures, but it is also incredibly practical too, with every detail considered.
