Getting Fit with TapouT – review and giveaway
It’s no secret that as a body shape I’m chunky. Having gained A LOT of weight while pregnant with my children, 2018 was supposed to be the year to reclaim my body. However, in reality it’s been the year of broken sleep and tiredness. That means that I’m most likely ending the year as I started: with a lot of weight to lose.
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Henry – my ‘baby’ – is closing in on 2 and a half and things are starting to get easier. Both kids are (from time to time) sleeping better, they are entertaining themselves more and I am suddenly finding myself with small pockets of time to myself. Unfortunately, it’s not enough free time to be able to join a gym or similar, but what we have done is start to convert part of our garage to a little workout area.
So, when the chance came along to test out a few pieces from the TapouT range, I was keen to stock up on some items to add to our home gym and start reclaiming my waistline!
TAPOUT WEIGHTLIFTING FITNESS GLOVES
First up we have these TapouT weightlifting gloves. Made from a breathable fabric, these gloves look great and feel nice to wear.
They are light and comfortable and give a great level of padding on the palm of the hand where it’s needed. This has been designed without making the gloves bulky and therefore they are extremely comfortable to wear. So much so that I’ve even used them for biking too. Not what they are originally designed for, but something it works just as well for due to that palm padding and lightweight, comfortable feel to the gloves.
TAPOUT GLUTE RESISTANCE BANDS
Next, we have the TapouT Resistance Bands which I was excited to be receiving. They are such a versatile piece of equipment that it seemed like it could be something I could easily build into a routine at home around my family. I wasn’t wrong.
First, it’s cheap compared to most gym equipment. For £15 you have something that not only can you adapt to different fitness levels but can also be added into the exercises that you already know. Taking them up to the next level and working your body that little bit harder.
I won’t lie, when I first got them, I wasn’t sure what to do with them outside of the usual squats and side steps, but a quick Google showed me a whole range of workout options available to me to use with them. The possibilities really seem to be endless and completely adaptable depending on your fitness level and current abilities.
What I really liked about it though is that they are so small that you can take them anywhere. I used to travel a lot with work and I could see these being a fantastic way to help keep you in shape when you’re away from home. Just pop them in your suitcase and build a little workout in your hotel room.
