5 great photo gifts
Photography really is a big part of my life.
The massive benefit to my often viewing life through my lens, is that not just that it allows me to slow down and live in a moment but is also means that I am lucky enough to have some rather amazing photos of my children as they grow.
Something that comes in very useful each year for birthdays. Christmas and of course Mothers Day. So. here are my favourite photograph gifts.
Photo Slate (AD | gifted)
I love these photo slates from ASDA photo. I love the rough edge effect and when you hold these slates, they feel lovely and weighted in your hand.
I went with the 19 x 14cm version which is big enough to make it a feature without being overbearing. With a stand included, these are a great option for those photos that are a little bit special.
If you don’t like the slate effect, then you can also get similar things in wood and acrylic.
Personalised Travel Mug (AD| gifted)
I bought one of these for hubby last year for Father’s Day and it went down an absolute treat. Almost a year later and it still looks brand new. However, during that time I have been insanely jealous of it, resenting my supermarket brand travel mug and looking upon his with envy!
So, when ASDA photo said I could select a few things from their range, there was no doubt that their personalised travel mug was going to be my first choice. These stainless steel travel mugs are great for both hot and cold drinks, though you’ll pretty much always find mine filled with a brew. Holding 16oz of liquid, this is a great option for people on the go who can now take their favourite photos with them.
Photo Fridge Magnets
I’ve bought a version of these from so many places for so many people over the years. They are a great stocking filler gift that allows you to proudly showcase the little moments of your life in a subtle way on your fridge freezer. It’s something we like to do every few years and it gives us a lovely snapshot of our lives through the years in the middle of our kitchen.
The most recent set I picked up was from Cheerz who do this amazing set of nine 6x6cm square magnets.
A framed photograph
Somethings there is nothing better than keeping it simple and nothing beats your favourite photograph framed in a great frame.
There are so many companies out there that will print images and ones I have used in the past which have worked well include ASDA photo. Snapfish, Boots photo and Photobox.
It’s always worth shopping around to see what deals are out there.
Creating a photo book
I’ve gifted photo books for a variety of reasons: a wedding, anniversary, celebration. And each year I aways gift myself
I’m a big fan of printing your favourite shots so they can be enjoyed rather than just hidden on your phone and this is one of my favourite ways to do it. I love taking a little stroll down memory lane and flicking through the pages as I enjoy a cuppa (or glass of wine!).
And that’s it! My 5 favourite photo gifts that are tried and tested for giving something utterly personal that can be cherished.
DISCLOSURE: some of these items were gifted and are clearly marked as such. However, I was under no obligation to use them for the purposes of this post and decision to do so – along with all content – is my own.
