Christmas Gift Guide for Grown Ups
AD | gift guide – can you believe it is already DECEMBER?! I am usually so organised and have most of my Christmas shopping done by the end of November, but for some reason, this year has flown by so quickly that I am incredible behind.
So, if you are anything like me and are only just now starting, then don’t worry, here are a few ideas that should hopefully save the day!
BOOKS
Yep – I am going there and to be fair this is probably based on what I want rather than what anyone else in my family would like to receive but I genuinely don’t think you can go wrong with a good book.
There are so many different options available to suit different tastes and interests that you are sure to find something that they would enjoy. Supermarkets in particular are a great option if you’re unsure what to buy as there is usually a good range and at this time of year, you are sure to get some great deals!
PERSONALISED PHOTO GIFTS
We are so lucky these days as we all have some quite powerful cameras our pockets and are able to capture some gorgeous images with our phones during the year. I’m a big believer in taking the photos and using every opportunity to rescue them from the digital memory banks and share them. Therefore personalised photo gifts are an amazing idea to get something that people will really treasure. Especially as there really are so many options available to suit every taste and budget.
You can explore the entire Christmas range at VistaPrint UK who have an incredible 60% of best sellers until Monday so make sure you hop online to take a look. I really love these smaller touches this year and love the thought of being about to take your loved ones wherever you go with this Photo Keyring. Also how gorgeous are these Personalised Christmas Baubles! I can’t wait to add them to the tree when it goes up this year!
PERSONALISED GIFTS
If you don’t have the photos for a photo gift though, why not go for something else personalised? I loved this Personalised Pint Glass from Boutique Gifts as I loved the little stag icon with baubles and the fact you can add name of your choice underneath. A great option for beer lovers this festive season as I know I love it when my Christmas mugs come out for brews so why not extend that for beer too?!
GETTING CREATIVE
This is something a little different and I absolutely LOVE it: De Winton Paper Co’s have brought out a new reverse colouring book and fineliner pen set. It basically has 80 vibrant colourful watercolour backgrounds and you doodle, draw, sketch and scribble over the top to create some beautiful – and completely unique to you – designs. I’ve never seen anything like this before but it’s such an amazing idea.
If they are creative but you don’t think they’d love doodling (though I have no idea why not!) then what about a craft kit? From felting to knitting, cross stitch to sewing, there are a massive amount of choice to choose from.
BEAUTY GIFT SETS
If you are really struggling then you should not overlook a beauty gift set such as this Lavera Basis Sensitiv Winter Essentials Gift Set. I used to love stocking up on all the little essentials over the year
THE GIFT OF MUSIC
It’s no secret that we love Yoto in our house and I’m a firm believer that Yoto is not just for kids. For example my favourite card at the moment is the new Spice Girls Greatest Hits. With 14 hits from across the years, its guaranteed to keep fans bopping and allow them to spice up their life. I don’t know who loves the card more, me of the Bear who is a massive Spice Girls fan.
SOMETHING PRACTICAL
This one is a little different but if you prefer to give a practical gift, then what about a Railcard as a gift that keeps on giving? Railcards allow users to get up to ⅓ off train tickets on most rail journeys for a whole year. The website says that it provides an average annual savings of £158, and to be fair I remember having and using one in my late teens / early 20’s after leaving for university which used to save me a fortune.
There are a wide range of Railcards available which means whether your buying for teens, grandparents or busy commuters, there is an option for everyone. As long as they use trains of course!

So, those are my suggestions for the some of the other adults in your life. Hopefully this gives you a few ideas as to what you could wrap and pop under the tree for them this year.
