Scandinavian Design with Desenio
If you have never heard of Desenio before, they are a company that provides Scandinavian design posters and picture frames. I love their core principle in that they believe that stylish wall art should be affordable to everyone. Something I could not agree with more.
I was recently given the opportunity to select a few items from their range. With a new dining room and play room to add the finishing touches to, as well as Henrys room to transform from a room fit for a baby to one fit for a little man, it was perfect timing!
ABOUT THE PRODUCTS
First, a little about the products as this is the same across all their items. All their posts are printed on uncoated, 200g premium matte paper. This gives their posters a real feel of quality and gives a stunning finish to the image and a real clarity to showcase the print.
Depending on your size of prints, these arrive either in a cylindrical tube or flat in a cardboard folder to prevent damage during delivery. We had a mixture of both and can say that both protected the prints perfectly.
The frames are wood and made with plexiglass ensuring that they are super light. They open easily from the back using clips, making them quick and easy to open and insert your poster for a beautiful, sleek finish.
So, here’s what we ordered:
DESENIO IN THE DINING ROOM
Our separate dining room and kitchen has recently been renovated and a wall knocked down. This has left us with one enormous kitchen-diner to fill. We’re ultimately going to be going for lovely natural colours such as olive greens and adding as many real plants I can get away with. That means I wanted something with a natural palette to add to the space.
Add in the fact that this was a kitchen and diner combination, I knew I wanted something on theme. So, when I saw these coffee prints, I knew that these were a great fit for the space and would bring things together wonderfully.
L-R: Freshly Brewed 30 x 40cm | After Coffee 13 x 18cm | Coffee Still Life 30 x 40cm | Blueberry Pie 30 x 40cm
DESENIO IN THE BOYS ROOM
For Henry’s room, it is more about moving from the baby’s room to a little boy’s room. It was a gender-neutral grey and rainbow theme (we didn’t find out the gender and therefore know what ‘flavour’ he was until he arrived), so now we want to add a little personality to reflect who he is.
So, for him it’s all about adventure. Add in little smiles and a lot of love, and we are well on our way to adding finishing touches to reflect the boisterous little man he is now.
L-R: Car Track City 21 x 30cm | Smile 13 x 18cm | Love L 13 x 18cm
DESENIO IN THE PLAYROOM
Finally, we have the play room. This is where we wanted to build on the adventure. Our play room is a space designed to let them play, were the only limit is their imagination and we wanted the prints in there to reflect that.
A map of the world, encouragement to explore and to question was a must. Add in a daddy-lion (the Bear’s favourite ‘flower’) and those finishing touches are starting to come together. We’re not completely finished in here yet, but it’s a great start.
L-R: Fun Stuff 21 x 30cm | Exploring 13 x 18cm | World Map Animals 30 x 40cm | Dandelion No 2 13 x 18cm
I couldn’t be more pleased with all three rooms as these are the little touches that finish things off, and bring everything together. All prints are framed in the Desenio black wood frames.
