Hands up who likes something pretty and shiny from time to time (*waves hands frantically). As mums it is pretty rare that we treat ourselves to something a little special. We may deserve it but we’re not very good at treating ourselves are we?
So, when Jana Reinhardt got in contact offering to let me take a closer look at their jewellery, the inner girl squealed in delight! Even more so when I saw just how beautiful they were.
WHO ARE JANA REINHARDT?
Having swapped the big smoke for a seaside town of Worthing, Jana Reinhardt are a husband and wife team. Both goldsmiths with an impressive number of awards to their name, they pour their creativity and skills into each of their pieces which are created in their seaside studio.
What is really special about them though is that they do not machine manufacture their pieces. Instead, they use traditional methods such as wax carving and fabrication which has no negative effect on the environment. A more sustainable choice for jewellery!! It sounds great doesn’t it?
THE TINY HUMMINGBIRD NECKLACE
At 10mm long and 9mm wide, this pendant is dainty and expertly crafted. Filled with details like those seen on the wings, it may be small but there is no doubt that it is beautiful.
The fact that this is a hummingbird really resonates with me. Often symbolising love, good luck and joy, this tiny bird is not only beautiful, but they are also incredibly busy. That sounds like many mummies I know!
Hand crafted in the UK, the tiny hummingbird necklace is available in 925 Sterling Silver, 9ct or 18ct solid gold and platinum as well as in 22ct yellow gold vermeil or 18ct rose gold vermeil. So, whatever your jewellery preferences, there is an option to suit your taste.
