What Kind of Mum Do You Have? A Gift Guide
Mums come in all shapes and sizes and all love different things. Therefore, for this Mothers Day I’ve searched behind the chocolates and flowers to find a few gift guide suggestions based on what kind of Mum you have in your life. Afterall, there’s only a little over 3 weeks to go until Mothers Day here in the UK.
FOR THE MUM WHO LOVES A BIT OF BLING
After chocolates, flowers (and of course wine), next comes jewellry. I absolutely adored this gorgeous little ‘MUM’ bracelet from Jewellry Box. 9ct yellow gold, this bracelet is delicate and sweet. Perfect for mums who like their jewellry subtle and sentimental. However, at only 7 inches long it is on the smaller side, so you need to make sure it will fit before ordering.
If yellow gold isn’t quite her style though, then don’t worry. The Jewellry Box have a huge range of Mothers Day ideas on their website, so no doubt there will be something there to fit her taste.
FOR THE MUM WHO LIKES TO BE PAMPERED
Just imagine the scene: a nice hot bath, cold glass of wine, a good book and a stack of goodies to pamper the special woman in your life. 7th Heaven is the world’s number 1 face mask brand, what’s even better though is that their products are completely natural and cruelty free. They have recently launched a fabulous range of beauty treatments for your skin, hair and body.
Ranging from £7.99 for their Super Skin Essentials through to £19.99 for the Complete Pamper Pack, this in a affordable option that will still leave any mum feeling pampered from head to toe. Pictured is the Pamper and Party Bag (£14.99) which includes 4 fabulous face masks, a hair mask, a soften glove mask, nail & cuticle masks along with a shower pom pom all packed inside this glamourous bag. The full range of 7th Heaven products can be found on their website.
FOR THE MUM WHO LOVES CRAFTS
I am definitely one of the mums that fit into this category. I love anything craft related and absolutely love the Book of Craft from Belle and Boo. It is jammed packed full of ideas – 25 of them in fact – for the crafty mama in your life. Everything from knitting hats and mittens to sewing teddy bears. From making button pictures to making paper mobiles. This book really does contain something for everyone. The great thing is that the types of crafts included are so diverse, there will be something new to try too.
Add that to a few other little tit bits such as these fabulous pocket tins – perfect for keeping all the little bits and bobs in when pressing pause on a project – and I can guarentee that the craft loving mum in your life will be delighted. At only £14 for the Book of Craft, and £5 for the pocket tins for a set of 3, this makes not only a thoughtful gift but also an affordable one too.
You can find the full range of gift ideas on the Belle and Boo website, but be warned. If you are a lover of all things handmade and vintage like me, you can get lost in there for hours!
FOR THE MUM WITH LUCIOUS LOCKS
Now let me be clear, I don’t mean go out and buy your mum a bottle of shampoo. Most likely that will just offend her and give her the hint that you think she smells. What I mean is a lovely selection of bits to put together ready to give her hair the luxurious salon treatment she deserves. Think less a bottle of basic ‘poo and more hair masks and luxury serums.
For example, the Paul Smith range is a great pleace to start. Some gorgeous smelling shampoo and conditioner along with some Moroccan argan oil and glossing serum makes for a wonderful start to a pamper pack that any mum that takes pride in her mane will adore.
FOR THE MUM WHO LOVES TO SMELL LOVELY
What mum doesn’t love perfume? I’ve learnt the hard way that these little luxuries seem to go out the window when you become a mum as you either just don’t have time, or start to rely on birthdays and Christmas for these little treats. So, what better reason than Mothers Day.
I AM WOMAN from the new Joan Collins collection stands out not only for the mum who loves a bit of heat and romance in their books but that art deco style packaging and bottle just looks stunning. At £15, this is a great option this Mothers Day – especially for the more mature mum in your life – and is available via Amazon (affiliate link).
