Exploring the Skies and Ground with Hape
I have a very traditional little boy. One whole loves cars, trains, tractors and dinosaurs. While the latter may the be the exception, on a whole if it has an engine, then Henry is most likely to fall in love with it. So, when Hape got involved and invited him to try out some of their plane and car themed toys, I knew he would be desperate to get is chubby (and rather grubby) little hands on them.
HAPE SKYE FLYER AND ROLLING ROADSTER
With a solid wood construction, these toys are beautifully designed and made. With beautiful sleek lines and chunky size, these are great for little hands to get a hold of and play with.
Bright colours make them attractive to little ones and their sustainable materials make them very attractive to mummies (and of course daddies) like me who are trying to take a more conscientious look at the plastic we bring into our homes.
Although they are recommended for 12 months upwards, Darcie at 3-years-old took an immediate liking to the plane and had a wonderful time flying it around the garden in the sunshine. Although he inherited the rolling roadster car, he was by no means disappointed with this option and had the best time pushing it away at great speed.
With the bright colours and durable quality I’ve come to associate with Hape, these make a wonderful option for little ones looking to explore the skies and ground with wonderfully bright, beautiful and chunky toys.
The Hape Skye Flyer and Hape Rolling Roadster are both currently available on Amazon for £7.99 each.
HAPE SWITCHBACK RACETRACK
First of all I was surprised by just how big the Hape Switchback Racetrack was. Standing half a meter tall, the racetrack is the perfect height for little legs to stand up and enjoy. The cars were also lovely and chunky, perfect for little hands to grab and navigate.
Henry already has a mini version of this kind of switchback track which he LOVES. However, in the way kids do sometimes, he also fights over it with his sister. This is where the Hape Switchback Racetrack comes into its own with its dual lanes. They love to ‘race’ the cars and watch as they flip down through the layers.
The downside is most certainly the cost as it is by no means the cheapest on the market, but I really feel you can’t fault the quality. Bright, beautiful and durable, you cannot help but be attracted by the Switchback Racetrack. It is most certainly an investment piece, but one that I think would last for years.
An added surprise bonus is the fact that is also comes fully assembled in the box. So, all you need to do as the grown up is lift it out of the box and it’s ready to play with.
The Hape Switchback Racetrack is currently available on Amazon for £63.50.
