Saving the Comic World with EverDreamerz | AD
We were gifted a Playmobil playground set a while ago, and almost 2 years later, it is still one of my children’s most played with toys. There is something about the attention to detail of Playmobil toys that really capture the imagination of my two.
They love Playmobil for the characters and the detail, I love it because it’s strong, sturdy and keeps them entertained for hours at a time.
EVERDREAMERZ COLLECTABLES – SERIES TWO
The EverDreamerz are five best friends: Viola, Rosalee, Clare, Starleen and Edwina. Each have their own unique qualities personalities and interests. The friends discover a magical amulet which allows them to enter a colourful dream world where they explore, meet new friends and experience new adventures.
In series two they head into the colourful Comic City dreamscape. Where everything can be both drawn and erased. Something goes wrong though, and all colour is lost from Comic City. Viola, Rosalee, Clare, Starleen and Edwina all work to restore the colour, meeting many new friends along the way. However, the evil Lady Nightmare tries stand in their way and turn their dreams into nightmares.
This is what makes the EverDreamerz really unique. The story behind the toys and the level of detail that has gone into thinking about their world is wonderful, and really helps to bring it alive for children.
Be warned though, the song is an ear worm and you’ll find yourself singing it for week!!
MEET THE EVERDREAMERZ
The Series 2 EverDreamerz come in individual play boxes.
Viona is the daydreamer of the group. She expresses her feelings through poems and paintings and loves purple.
Funny, warm and cheerful, Rosalee always sees the positive in everything, whereas Clare is the brightest of the group and loves geometric shapes.
Starleen loves singing and dancing while Edwina is the sporting ace among the girls. Her second passion is comic books which is how the girls find themselves in the Comic City dreamscape.
The unboxing experience is play itself as each box is rammed full of goodies. With boxes inside boxes, each pack contains 30 pieces, including:
- One of the EverDreamerz
- Hair to change their style
- A removable skirt
- A pet
- A bag
- Accessories specific to your characters personality
- A water reveal comic book banner
- A water reveal comic (specific to your character)
- A water reveal scroll
- The Playmobil water reveal pen
- A bracelet, charm and beads
- A collectors card and sticker
- A figure stand to display your EverDreamerz
You also have a couple sheets of stickets to bring your EverDreamerz to life and I’m not ashamed to say that I had a confused 5 minutes or so trying to figure out what went where. Some instructions for this would have been nice, but it wasn’t horrendous and we soon figured it out between us.
As you can see, it’s a massive amount included in each box. We particularly like the colour reveal elements to the play – especially the comics – which gives it a real uniqueness that is very relevant to the story.
Add that to the fact that each of the accessories, skirts and other elements are completely interchangeable, building a complete world for children to enjoy.
The box itself is brilliant. Although there is a massive amount of packaging to these collectables, most of it is cardboard and can be kept and used time and time again as storage and as part of their play.
ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS
In addition to the 5 friends, there are also an additional 12 characters to collect in smaller surprise boxes. Each box comes with a character, a small number of accessories, a collectable card and stickers.
We had Lady Nightmare and Erasorman in our boxes. These were brilliant as it really brought the story alive for us. They literally spent the afternoon reinacting the trailer which was just too cute!
Although, these smaller boxes don’t hold as many items, these are still a great addition to the range and help children to build up their world. They are also a more affordable addition to the range.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
The range is suitable for ages 7+ and I can understand why. The amount of small fiddly accessories is massive. Admittedly, it will depend on the child though. Henry lost half of his within an hour of opening his box. It was impossible to keep track of what belonged to who, but that is also what was nice about the EverDreamerz too. The fact that everything is interchangeable.
However, at almost 6, Darcie loves anything tiny. For her, the EverDreamerz are everything she loves in a toy. Bright, beautiful, small and with such a wide range of little accessories and she’s in her element.
She particularly loved the bag and pet which came with each character.
As her mummy, I really liked the story behind the friends and also the fact that the vast majority of the packaging is recyclable.
The EverDreamerz range is priced from £5.99 to £14.99 and is available to buy now.
DISCLOSURE: we were sent these items for the purposes of this review. As always though, all opinions and photographs are my own.
