Ever fancy the thought of getting back to nature and camping in the woods but enjoy the luxuries of your caravan too much? Then I have just the caravan site for you! As Kendal Club Campsite is situated in the woods and provides a seclusion you never though possible at a caravan site.

ABOUT KENDAL CLUB SITE

Nestled in National Trust woodland, Kendal Club Campsite is a small slice of tranquility. With trees all around and set beside a trickling river, you really feel immersed in nature.

With flat, hard standing pitches and electric hook up, this is a site you will enjoy for a little but of peace with a lot of comforts. What makes Kendal Club Site really special though, is most of the pitches are situated in their own little slice of the woods, giving you a real sense of being alone at time which is so lovely.

FACILITIES AT KENDAL CLUB SITE

As a Caravan and Motorhome Site, you know the facilities are going to be good, and maintained to a high standard. And Kendal Club Site was no exception. There were plenty of toilets which were washed regularly.

Both gas and charcoal were also allowed on site which was a really nice touch.

There is no bar or club house on site – which many people find important. Though to be honest it’s not something we ever look for or feel like we need on a camping trip. Preferring instead to relax at the caravan with a drink in our hand once the kids are in bed.

WHAT WE DID NEARBY

If you just walk out of the the site and along the river a little way, you come to the most amazing bridge where you can cross over. From there you can safely get down onto the banks of the river to enjoy everything is has to offer. This was no doubt a massive highlight for our two little ones as they LOVED heading in for a swim each day. And when you’re done, it’s not far to head back to the van and dry off.

Kendal Club Site is also set in the grounds of Sizergh Castle so it’s only a very short drive away. A medieval house with stunning gardens and grounds, it is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
