Data is important and in line with new GDPR regulations effective from 25 May 2018, this privacy policy will outline how we here at Tippytupps collects, stores and uses your personal data.
Although the use of personal data for this blog is limited, the new regulations instructs us that personal data must be:
- Processed in a lawful manner and handled both fairly and transparently
- Relevant and limited to it’s intended purpose
- Accurate and where required, kept updated
- Stored and used in a manner which is secure
With this in mind, I can confirm that Tippytupps blog will only collect and process personal data for the specific purpose for which it was collected.
The following data is held, stored and processed by Tippytupps blog.
SUBSCRIBER LIST
Currently Tippytupps blog has a subscribe option available to its readers. This allows automated emailing to subscribers when a new post is shared on the blog. The email addresses provided are also entered into an RSS based newsletter which is distributed via mailchimp.
You can unsubscibe from this option at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions detailed within the email. Alternatively please email us at tippytupps@gmail.com to remove your details from our database.
GIVEAWAYS AND COMPETITIONS
From time to time Tippytupps blog will host a competition or giveaway on the blog. Unless otherwise stated, Rafflecopter is used to administer all giveaways and competitions. Each entry requirement to the giveaway or competition are detailed within the Rafflecopter widget and the data collected will be used for that intended purpose only.
You will only be entered as a subscriber to Tippytupps blog if you have expressly entered a giveaway or competition option to do so.
Your data will only be passed onto 3rd party providers if you have expressly entered a giveaway or competition option where you have expressly provided permission for us to do so.
All giveaways and competitions hosted using Rafflecopter are deleted after 6 months and all entry data destroyed at that time.

COOKIES
As is the case with most sites, Tippytupps uses cookies to track and analyse data. You will be asked to accept the use of cookies when you visit the Tippytupps blog and you can make the decision whether to accept or not.
Should you concent, cookies will use your behaviour on our site – such as pages visited and for how long – and feed that information back to us in an anonimised format. Should you decline, this information is not provided to us.
DATA AND ANALYTICS
Tippytupps uses data analytics tools including (though not limited to) Google Analytics and Jetpack. This is for the purposes of monitoring key statistics for the website such as visitor numbers and demographic data. The information collected allows us to make informed decision with regards to content and timing of posts and make adjustments to fit with our audiences.
This data is consolidated and anonimised by the data analytics programmes and as a result, no idenfiable data is used during this process.
3RD PARTY PARTNERS
From time to time Tippytupps works with 3rd parties for reviews, for sponsored posts and for advertising. This will most likely include optional click through links to clients websites either in blog posts or on the blog page in banners and side bars.
Tippytupps are not liable for how 3rd parties process and manage your data, therefore you will need to reference that sites own privacy policy for details.
COMMENTS
We love to read your comments on the blog and actively encourage people to do so. You will notice though that you are asked to leave your name and a website when you leave a comment on a Tippytupps post. This is optional and will not be added to the subscriber list or passed onto 3rd parties.
SUBJECT ACCESS REQUESTS (SAR’S)
If at any time you are unsure of the data held on your by Tippytupps blog, you are able at any time to submit a Subject Access Request (SAR) by emailing tippytupps@gmail.com. As per GDPR regulations, responses to SAR’s will be made within 30 days of acknowledging the email, detailing all information held on the requestor.
